The Website
Pubs are ideal informal places to go with good friends and have fun as a group. You will always have a funny anecdote in common with your friends, and The Fickle Frog Pub is just the place to create unforgettable memories.
As I’ve always liked going out to get a few beers on a Friday night while enjoying fun live entertainment, it was not a surprise when I suddenly decided to start a website. At the end of the day, thanks to all the free online tools available right now, building the site by myself didn’t take me more than 30 minutes. Snips, snaps, some templates to set, and it was done!
However, my passion for partying, eating good food, and writing, merged to create The Fickle Frog Pub, a place where I can share my take on everything I eat and do in life. That’s how the site became to live.
5 years have passed since I published my first post on Poutine and how intrinsically delicious this Canadian staple food is and oh boy, I’ve come a long way. I now write reviews of the places I go to, the food they serve, the ambiance of the place, and even rate the parties, meetups, and events hosted in some of them.
After having attended some good live performances in pubs and coffee shops, and a bunch of not so good ones, I thought there must be something I can do to help events to succeed. I started offering event-planning services for small gatherings and meetups in some of the most popular pubs and clubs in Toronto I used to go to.
Slowly but surely, I started to gain the attention of the people, and all of a sudden, not only did the pubs and restaurant owners hired me to plan events but the audience, too. I now work reviewing places and food, and also plan meetups, book readings, small concerts and stand-up comedy presentations, and even birthday and bachelorette parties.
